Chosen Solution
I have a late 2009 iPod and recently if the upper left corner (opposite the audio jack) is pressed the iPod resets. Pulling it out of my pocket resets it. I’m not sure if something is loose, or the battery needs to be changed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Sounds like something might be loose. Here’s a teardown of this iPod: iPod Classic Teardown Buy some tools and open it up, see if anything looks out of place.
