Hi, My Apple TV 4 has a defective bluetooth/wifi chip. So I found one on eBay, a 339S00045 chip, which seems to be the same as in the ipad mini and pro. I took my apple tv apart, but the chip doesn’t seem to be that easy to replace. Is that something that is even possible at this point? Regards, Pieltre
Sadly this is a BGA chip which really needs a proper rework station to fix. Basically, after you carefully remove the old chip you would clean the old solder off clean the board and then using a mask and the correct sized solder balls layout the field and then reflow the chip back on. Given the cost of the needed equipment and sundries. I think it will be cheaper just getting a new Apple TV ;-{
