hi the cable connecting my home button to the metal heat shield is broken, if i order a new metal heat shield and use my original home button, will the touch id still work?
Yes, the Touch ID will work with no problem ms. The only time you lose your Touch ID function is if you have to replace the actual home button flex cable. From what you are doing, you will be all good and back to normal. Replacing the home button connection does not effect Touch ID at all. If it does, the cable you bought would be defective.
