Replacing The Logic Board With One From Another Model Macbook Pro 15 Core 2 Duo Models A1226 And A1260

I have a MBP A1226 (2.4 GHz (Santa Rosa) MacBook Pro 15") with a bad Logic board and another MBP A1150 (2.16 GHz (Core Duo) MacBook Pro 15") That works fine but the screen is cracked. Could I possibly put the good logic board from A1150 into A1226?

I’m pretty sure you can as long as they are the same year model. It would probably be easier to swap the displays though.
