I have a Mac Mini that has a bad hard drive, I have already taken it apart and am ready to add the new hard drive. The only concern I have is getting the OS on the new hard drive. I have replaced a few hard drives on Macs before, but I don’t recall if the OS is baked into the computer or not. Will I need a disk or something of that nature to reload the OS?

The OS is stored on the Hard Drive, you will need to reinstall it on the new one,
