Managed to ruin the panel like an idiot on accident and I have found a place to buy a new one to install myself. I just can’t find a guide for that make/model and was wondering if any other current MSI Laptops share or are similar in build design or of there’s a video around somewhere, so I can burn the instructions into my brain while I wait till it gets here. Thank you guys/gals!
Hi, Don’t know the answer here’s a video that shows the disassembly of a MSI Modern 15 A10RAS 231 laptop that may help. To get to removing the lid assembly it appears that the laptop has to be nearly completely disassembled. At approx 22:00 minutes onwards into the video the lid assembly can be seen being detached from the lower case. It doesn’t show if the LCD panel can be removed from the lid cover or whether it is bonded to it as seems to be the case with some very thin laptops these days.
