I was replacing the iphone 5s battery and I think I tore the ribbon that connects the phone to the home button in the process. So the button itself is still intact, just the ribbon that’s broken. Do I still need to buy a whole new home button since I think it is meant to be attached to the ribbon? Thanks
That is the first iPhone with finger print scanner, you can easily replace the home button, but you will lost finger scanner functionality, because only the original button will work. Click function will work fine.
