HI. I have bought the tools and battery required for a iPhone 6s battery replacement and I’m just about to do it when I noticed in the Ifixit guide under parts needed is Phone 6/6s/7 Battery Adhesive Strips - okay, this seems reasonable iPhone 6s Battery Connector Bracket - What?! Why couldn’t I just use the bracket already in the phone? Do I really need to buy a new one? iPhone 6s Display Assembly Adhesive - I can’t figure out why this is listed. AFAIK I’m not going to mess with the display at all, so what would I need this for? I think these might be typos, but it’s best to ask people who have done it before. Do I need to buy these two things besides the battery, tools and double sides adhesive tape I already bought for the purpose?

All you need at most to do the battery replacement is the battery and the battery adhesive strips. Two strips of double sided tape (Tesa 4695) equivalent can be used in place of battery adhesive strips as an alternative. I actually have no idea why the bracket is listed on that guide. It’s only needed if from a previous repair it wasn’t put back on and it’s surprising that it doesn’t come with two screws for a replacement bracket as most people won’t leave the screws in the two holes without the bracket. Display Assembly Adhesive that pretty much just stops dust from coming in and kinda acts somewhat like a cushion for 3D Touch pressure on the screen, not really needed though.
