I need to replace my current hard drive with a solid state drive. I purchased the drive, I need to know how to replace it myself.

Assuming you have a Hard Drive currently, its most likly your MacBook is built between 2009 and 2012 and is a non-retina this link should help as these models are basically the same for hard drive replacement.
