Hi, I have seen many people selling flex cable which is on the back of lcd of an ipad pro 2018 and 2020 models. Do they require any special programming or you can just attach them back to the new lcd ?
Just be aware that by replacing components tied to FaceID will result in the loss of FaceID. The components are programmed to each board with the use of a special tool only apple has. But you should be able to replace it nonetheless. You’ll get a message when the device turns on stating “apple is unable to activate FaceID”.
