2006 nissan altima SE 2.5L L-4. Pulled the code at AutoZone, “VVT in ‘advanced’ mode for longer than a set time.”. recommendation was to replace the VVT solenoid. Purchased a replacement solenoid at AutoZone. Removed the old solenoid, tried to install replacement but it won’t seat fully. Upon inspection the distal ends of the two look different and the replacement will not fully seat, sticks out a couple of mms.
@msabo at this time the only thing to do is to return the one you purchased and get the proper one. Take the old one and compare it at the store to ensure you get the right one.
