will the MacBook 12" Retina (Early 2015) USB-C Port work as a replacement on a 2017 macbook air? thanks Update (06/12/2020) My error, I stated it in the title but I meant USB 3. I linked from a youtube for USB-C and didn’t catch the difference. I don’t see a replacement USB 3. Does anyone know where they are available? Thanks

Your MacBook Air does not offer a USB-C port, it only offers a USB-A port which offers only USB 3.0 5.0 Gbps connections and is not able to offer anything else. So simply put, you can’t physically fit the MacBook USB-C connector onto the MacBook Air logic board.
