I bought a replacement screen from ebay and installed it, it worked for a couple of days while being kinda glitchy (it wouldn’t register some of my touches but would register touches on its own), my phone fell screen down on the soft floor and when i picked it up the screen was grayish, i turned it off but now my phone wont turn off and the top of the screen gets incredibly hot.
Sounds like you got a bad display to start off with. Did the part come with any warranty? The problem is, you dropped the phone. In most cases, that would void the terms of the warranty if you did any physical damage to the screen. If the screen still looks fine and there are no cracks or scratches, I would try and get a replacement.
The problem is with the iPhone SE’s that they have had a lot of problems over the past few years because it came out after the 6 and 6 plus. With the SE, Apple decided to put a bigger processor than iPhone 6 into the reinvented iPhone 5 SE. Replacing anything on these specific types of iPhones can make it react unusual. Its always a 50/50 with having these replaced perfectly especially when its a new screen and not the original.
I would blame half on the bad screen and half when you dropped it so now you should buy a new screen from ifixit.iPhone SE (1st Gen) Screen
