This is probably a common issue for aftermarket screens. Is there any particular reason why it happens? I tried two screens from different suppliers and the same issue occurs. Also the iphone housing is in excellent condition, no bends or dints on frame.
Hey, if you check the flex on the screen that goes to the motherboard, there is a metal part on it. that part probebly hits the motherboard or anything else nerby. see this picture: https://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/ig… the flex should lay as this one does a little bit from the metal part on its right side and not to high up. I have had this problem twice before and that helped.
Hi Ben You are one of the great sages, but if it were not so, I would say: Something similar happened to me once. I would say it has to do with the fasteners in the frame of the screen or the thickness (too thick) of the frame. I have also seen chassis bent in strange ways, it is not necessary a blow, with enough pressure can affect. Another screen or reinforce the adhesive on that part could help.
Hi there is a possibility that your iPhone’s rear housing is bent it’s a very common issue with the iPhone after been dropped on the corner or kept in tight Jeans so it may never fit properly. you can check by placing it against a flat surface (making sure the camera is not in the way) and check if there is any gaps between the surface and the phone if there is you have a bend, sadly a rear housing is such a pain in the arse to replace even apple just replace the whole unit for exchange price which dose vary if you go to a Apple Sore or Apple reseller i would not trust a corner shop with this job.
