Followed instructions for replacement—all appears to have gone well, except home button doesn’t click, Touch ID doesn’t work, and screen still sticks out pretty far from bezel compared to original screen. Is this typical for the IFixIt screen? Do I need to apply more force to get screen to seat properly? If I apply a lot of force to the bottom, near home button, the bottom of the screen shows a variety of colors, as though it’s knocking something internally Note that Touch ID doesn’t work either—I get the error message as soon as the phone boots up. I’ve redone the screen replacement process multiple times, to ensure problem was replicable. Thanks for help.

Apple doesn’t supply screens to ifixit so expect aftermarket ones to be slightly thicker. And odds are apple will know you opened it up and refuse to repair it. Order a replacement from Mobile Defenders or Mobile Sentrix and you should be good to go.
