I’ve recently followed the guide for replacing the screen of my iPhone 8 after purchasing the part from IFixit. I used the adhesive as well after fully cleaning out the old stuff and the replacement screen now sits not flush with the body of the phone, about 1-2mm of a ridge. Is this normal for the part? also when I push down to the right of the home button, a small section of the lower right screen changes colour until I let go, how can I look at stopping this?
Is your backhousing bent? it is not normal that there is a small gap. all the flex cables are at the right spot?
