Chosen Solution
So my touch screen is broken and while a replacement is available in the US, it is not in any european ifixit store. Any info on when they will become available in Europe/Germany? Also I thought about ordering from the US-Store. Does anybody have experience about custom duties and how long it will take?
@letstrythisnext, This was discussed last year on the Meta part of iFixit, and at that time there were no certain information about when new stock would come to the EU store, unfortunately. It can be hard for iFixit to keep everything in stock in all international Stores, but I know they try their hardest to keep up to date. As for ordering from the US store, it depends on which country you’re in. Some countries aren’t on the list of countries that can use the US store at all, but some are. And then it depends on what the governing law in your country is. What the tax percentage is, import fees, etc.
