Hi all, My power button stopped clicking in - when you pressed against it the button never moved and didn’t click. I brought a new power button ribbon cable and replaced it. When I put the button in and hold the bracket against it the button works and clicks, however as soon as I put 1 screw in the bracket the power button stops clicking and goes stiff again. I have made sure the power button is in correctly, metal bracket down etc. Ive tried 2 power ribbons now and they all click, just not when the bracket is screwed in. What gives? Thanks in advance
try backing the screw that holds the bracket out 1/2 turn to a full turn. Sometimes if they get tightened all the way down it will not click
Try taking the back glass off, fold a small piece of paper and put it under the power button for a temporary fix.
