Got my 8+ screen replacement NO FRONT CAMERA YET( still waiting for the replacement camera) all working good. But when I tested the REAR CAMERA it’s just BLACK. Is the BACK CAMERA AFFECTED BECAUSE THERE IS NO FRONT CAMERA INSTALLED?
It shouldn’t be affected, as the rear camera will be conencted via a different strip to the logic board. There are two possible reasons why your rear camera has stopped working: The software/firmware for the camera only works with both cameras installedThe rear camera’s connection to the board has become loose Obviously, the first scenario is unavoidable without the front facing camera. The second can be remedied by simply reseating the camera’s connector within the phone, which should be shown here on step 8. Hope this helps!
