I got my daughter a macbook pro for Christmas. The battery began giving her issues at the end of January, then finally ballooned up about two weeks ago. I ordered her a new one here on Ifixit and had her install it. She can’t get it to charge at all. We have been working on this over text message, so i don’t have the problem in my hands. I’ve been looking stuff up on this forum and then forwarding it on. So finally we will make it official and ask the experts. From coconutBattery:

The charger cable light is green. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

The blistering of the battery is a clue as well as what CoconutBattery is showing. Sadly, the systems charging logic has a problem. You’ll need to get the system back from your daughter and carefully remove the logic board to inspect it for liquid damage as well as looking for a damaged component or two.
