Chosen Solution

Purchased replacement battery from iFixit for Macbook Air 13” 2017. Worked OK for almost 2 weeks then suddenly died completely. Cannot be charge, battery not recognized by system or Coconut Battery app. Should have gone with my intuition to stay away from Chinese garbage?

Recommend opening the MacBook and rechecking the installation of the new battery, especially the connections. If everything looks sound, it’s possible the battery is defective. You could try returning that and purchasing a new one from a different supplier.
