I ordered the correct piece and replaced. However, It is not charging. So did I do something wrong? Can I test it somehow? Or is the battery not charging because I waited 2 months to replace the usb port? Any help would be appreciated. Tricia
That could be a defective charging port. It sounds like an accident ready to happen. Something must be wrong with the power rails causing a short somewhere. If you feel lucky then you could try a new charging port again and se if it helps. However, I would suggest that you take it to someone who can measure the power rails on the motherboard.
