My microphone stopped working a few days ago and so I bought a new microphone/charging port and then installed it using the help of a youtube guide. My microphone now works fine however my phone will no longer charge. Any help?
A Few things can cause this issue, You received a bad charging port with a good Mic 2. The Charging Flex is not making a good connection to the board 3. You caused pry damage, knocking off or dislodging one of the small components in the surrounding area But first, unplug battery, remove screen assembly (So you dont damage flex cables)… and measure the board for 5v dc at the test point to see if you are receiving voltage from the port when plugged in. You can also measure the charging voltage at battery terminal if you are getting 5v to see if charging circuit is operating normally. Post back results after these first 2 things and also look carefully for pry damage
