hey, so i recently replaced the screen of a friends iphone 5s following the steps in the guide on this site. the phone was in pretty bad shape having been dropped a few times, in addition to the screen being cracked the phone had just recently stopped responding to touch input and the back camera was broken. this is the first iphone i have tried to repair and had thought that replacing the screen would do the trick. having replaced the screen re attached the camera connector and put the phone back together the home button works fine but it still wont accept any touch input. any thoughts on how i might be able to get this up and running again?

Have you checked to make sure the frame is not slightly bent? If it is bent it will put some stress on the screen and can make the touch malfunction. I had one that was not a total loss of touch but it would work about 50% of the time. Turned out the frame was bent. Lay the phone on a flat surface and try slide a piece of paper under it. Just push it back and forth around the edges working you way around the phone. If it slides under at any point the frame is bent.
