I had a customer bring me a Galaxy Mega i527 to fix the broken glass. I ordered the whole replacement screen, lcd, and midframe assembly. I got it all fixed and the display works fine but, the touch screen does not work at all. With the old screen, only the top portion of it works. Which is what it was doing to being with. Do you think I have a faulty screen?

i527 has issues with aftermarket screens if OS has been updated to KitKat 4.4.2. My experience is that it goes into a boot loop. Booting into the OS with the old screen and then plugging in the new screen, it works until I power down the device. I am looking for a Genuine Samsung OEM Part.

That’s just it. I don’t have any boot loop problems. It boots just fine but, there is NO touch response. I called myself getting a OEM screen. At least that’s what the vendor stated it to be.
