So I follwed the directions via iFixit for a screen replacement on an iPhone 6 Plus. I got it all put back together and charged the battery. Turned it on and the screen looks amazing. The problem is, the home button isn’t responsive and either is the screen! I tried replugging the connectors onto the logic board, but still nothing. Anybody have any ideas on why the home button and the screen wouldn’t have any touch capabilities? Thanks

Check the connectors on the logic board to see if there is any damage to the pins, do the same with the connectors on the flex cables and also make sure the cables aren’t damaged i.e Torn. If there is damage to the pins you will need to replace them with a new screen (If the digitiser cable is damaged) or a home button cable (If the home button cable is damaged). You should also check that the home button is properly connected to the home button cable and that its pins aren’t damaged either. If the pins on the logic board connectors are damaged you will need to get someone competent in micro soldering to replace them. If there is no damage to any of the pins then I recommend cleaning all the connectors with isopropyl alcohol and reconnecting them, make sure that digitiser cable is in correctly as it can be difficult with the 6 plus. If you still have no luck then your screen may be faulty although that won’t explain why your home button is not working.
