I have 2 iPhone 6s plus’s. One had a broken LCD and the other just a broken glass not the front of it. I took them both apart. I replaced the broken LCD with the screen with a broken glass and it worked fine. I did not turn either phone off before doing so. I replaced the broken glass back onto the original phone, and now I am getting nothing to the screen. It works fine on the other one tho. I have since purchased 2 new screens and LCD’s. The one that originally had the broken LCD works fine now. The other one, still will not show anything on the screen even tho the new screen has been replaced. I have plugged the lightening cable to the phone and can still hear the noise stating that the phone is now charging. I just do not get anything on the screen itself. Any suggestions ?

You need to unplug the battery on these models. The power for backlight on the screen are connected via two positive and negative pins on the screen connector for the board. The problem with this is that if they are shorted together for a moment when unplugging or plugging the screen in it blows a backlight filter on the board and you’ll see a puff of smoke near the screen connector. That filter may need to be replaced by an experienced micro-solderer to fix that problem. You can verify this by shining a flashlight on the screen while the screen is on. It’ll show faint display with an image.
