I had the common issue with the logic board on my MacBook Pro 15" late 2011. I had the board updated and upon using it the first time since the replacement, plenty of more problems. The computer won’t boot without an SMC reset after its shutdown and when it does boot the keyboard doesn’t work. PRam doesn’t help because I can’t boot, only reset. Reset doesn’t respond to PRam. Once the computer is shutdown I have to SMC reset to turn it back on. Currently the computer is on the user login screen, mag is green, battery sitting around 95% and not increasing, keyboard unresponsive. What’s the deal? Did they deliberately screw with it so I would have to pay for the fix instead of the free repair..

Did you replace it or was it replaced by someone else? If possible, it would be great to get pictures of the logic board as it sits as it may be true that some components are not connected. However, if it was replaced by Apple under the GPU recall, I would definitely leave it as it is and bring it back while it still has these issues, and they will (at least should) replace it for you under warranty (I believe they have 3 month warranty on these recalls). Please keep us updated so we can help you out! Thanks!
