I have a Christmas village and one of my houses has lights and Santa circling overhead on a reindeer. A few weeks ago the lightbulb went out but Santa was still going. I should have paid closer attention when switching the bulb because I inadvertently switched it with a bulb that was 10 watts higher. It worked for a bit and then all of it stopped working, the lights and Santa. When I unplugged it, the ACDC adapter was very hot. I thought maybe it overheated but after letting it cool down and replacing the bulb with one of the correct wattage, still nothing works. I started to buy a replacement motor but thought if it was the motor, then the light should work fine. I thought it might be the ACDC adapter but when I plug it in and check everything with a voltage meter, they all seem to be getting power. Does anyone have any idea on how I can fix this? It is one of my favorite decorations.

Hi, You may have to open the Christmas house up and locate the control board where the power is connected to and check it for any damage. If there is and you’re not quite sure post some close up images of the board back here. Here’s how to do this on ifixit Adding images to an existing question
