Chosen Solution
My screen was displaying colors similar to 256k. White was teal, black was red, etc, and ghosting. Per iFixit.com; this would be the LCD. I purchased a replacement LCD from iFixit.com, and completed the repair (I am competent in the area of electronics). However, the new LCD is displaying similar issues, just not as bad. The new LCD is an improvement, but not what anyone would consider operating as it should. The LCD supplied was “used” previously as noted on the website, and I was aware of this - but appears that the replacement LCD was defective prior to shipment. My question is this; when purchasing a product from iFixit.com - and it does not adequately address the issue, what can be done?
I am having the same issue,(black is red) previously I was able to knock it around and it would fix itself. But I can no longer do that. Did you purchase the LCD ribbon ? Or was it the entire LCD replacement? If you find a solution, would you be able to post it?
