Chosen Solution
I replaced the key cylinder on my 04 Grand caravan and now the security system shuts it down after starting the engine. It’s a black, not gray (smart) key and I’ve disconnected battery and reconnected but continue to get same results. Any help would be forever appreciated!
Take your new key cylinder, along with your smart key and proof of ownership of the car, to your local Dodge or Chrysler dealer. Likely they need to match the key cylinder to the key.
