I recently bought and replaced the front facing camera on my iphone 5, after i was doe with the replacement the front camera would show a black screen. I tried to restart my phone, and it still didn’t work. I don’t know if i did something wrong during the repair or i’m not doing something so the camera works. Please help!!
Hello! If the camera is showing a black screen that means the phone is not communicating with the camera. Try reconnecting the cable. Make sure it’s the right way.
Have you Re-booted the phone? If that doesn’t work just check to make sure that there is nothing covering the actual front camera. Failing that id say its dodgy
Since you’ve done what the other two answers say then it is one of two things, either a faulty camera, or something is damaged on the flex cable/connector.
