Model is Samsung DV457GVGSGR/AA (gas) and I have no heat. I’ve replaced everything in the title and checked continuity on the high limit thermostat plus took readings from the solenoids, which checked out with others readings, and yes, checked to see if the unit is getting gas (even called the company to double check). Still, the ignitor will not even begin to glow. It is a relatively new unit and all the wires seem to be in good shape. So what next?
Solution 1: Thermal Fuse The thermal fuse is a safety device designed to protect the dryer from overheating. The fuse is located on the blower housing or at the dryer’s heat source such as the heating element on electric. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/… Here’s a video on how to test it: https://www.repairclinic.com/RepairHelp/… Solution 2: Igniter The igniter uses heat to ignite the gas in the burner assembly. If the igniter is not working, the gas will not ignite, preventing the dryer from heating. To determine if the igniter has burned out, use a multimeter to test the igniter for continuity. If the igniter does not have continuity, replace it. https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/…
