So I have a side by side fridge and the heater to the coil recently went out. I replaced it, but now it seems to be getting too hot. The vent above it goes directly into where the ice maker stores the ice and it’s partly melting the ice, causing everything in the fridge to be frosted. Anyone know what the deal is?

Hi @tea9000 , There is a defrost thermostat / part #240 that you can check. It looks like it is a bi-metal sensor type. Use an Ohmmeter to test it.
