I removed the motherboard to get to the D-pad and to do so released the 3D screen ribbon cables, I put them back and ensured they are clean, tight and secure, flaps down. (twice- I went back and tried again after realizing the problem the first time.) and the 3D screen is turning on with the rest of the system (everything else is fine) but stays black. and tips on what I should do?

I know you had checked many times, but did you plug in the ribbon cables correctly? Some cables’ copper side are supposed to be plugged to another side of connector. This is the only solution this inexperienced person can think of, no guarantee this will work but it’s worth a shot.
