Hi Everyone, Will try to get straight to the point. While trying to add an additional drive utilizing the optical drive of my late 2008 Macbook Pro 15” I noticed some odd behaviour after installation: The fans run high constantly  - even after NVRAM and SMC resetWhen shutting down via finder the machine boots down and then turns on again on its ownThe machine also boots up automatically when the magsafe cable is connectedThe wifi and camera does not work - Bluetooth works After close inspection I noticed that the isight/wifi/bluetooth cable that connects to the logic board maybe damaged which maybe causing these issues, based on what I have read elsewhere: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/mac… I don’t care so much about the isight camera or the bluetooth. As a matter of fact, even if the wifi doesn’t work I can always use a USB adapter. My concern is more to resolve these additional oddities. I will try disconnecting/disabling the airport connection see if it solves the issue. My main question is, if I were to get a new isight/wifi/bluetooth cable could I connect the wifi/bluetooth without the isight? Reason being is that from what I can gather, replacing the isight involves taking the LCD apart where as replacing the wifi and bluetooth is relatively easier and just requires access to the wifi/bluetooth card where the lid hinges. Since the cable is all one piece could I not just remove the isight portion and tape the exposed portion up? Let me know your thoughts. They are much appreciated.

The error you got 4SNS/ 1 /40000000: TB3T tells us you have a sensor error 4SNS its a temp sensor T and it’s within the battery B. So your replacement battery has a defect as this shouldn’t be a failure. As far as when you plugged in the original battery error 4SNS/ 1 /40000000: TG1H. Here again you have a sensor failure 4SNS as well as a temp sensor T in this case the G is Graphics. This is not good ;-{ NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT dedicated graphics chip thermal sensor is firing off. This could be due to the lack of cooling as the thermal paste is worn-out or the heat sink coolant has leaked out. And, lastly the chip its self has an internal failure. cleaning and applying a fresh coat of thermal paste is a good start but I would recommend you get a good thermal monitoring app like TG Pro You’ll need to fire off an email to support (at) tunabelly.com to get the older version which runs on your version of OS-X (the highest version of OS-X your system supports is El Capitan OS-X 10.11.x). MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 Logic Board Replacement & How to Apply Thermal Paste Just make sure you don’t over do the paste! You just want enough to cover the chip die alone.

You might want to get the older version of CoconutBattery again contact chris (at) coconut-flavour.com to get the needed version for your OS-X.
