Iphone wouldn’t charge. Got the kit from Ifixit, replaced the battery, which had approx 50 percent charge. Everything worked fine, plugged it in, it started charging. Next day, it is not charging at All! I have tried plugging it into different places and nothing. Googled it and found a number of complaints with this exact issue on ifixit questions. What gives??

There could be dust on the battery’s connector or it could be that the battery was badly connected. There is also the posibility that you were too harsh when connecting the battery, breaking or bending a pin from the connector itself or the battery’s cable. Check the connector again and clean it with compressed air or Isopropyl Alcohol and a Q-Tip. Hope I’d help.

disconnect the battery and while its unplugged connect a charger. if the phone shows an apple logo with battery disconnected then its most likely a bad battery. if nothing happens you have a tristar issue which requires microsoldering to fix.
