Hi I have a iPhone 7 plus with a damaged screen, I wanted to replace the screen but the bottom two screws are stripped and won’t come out. I’ve tried a few different screw drivers and super glue but screws are still stuck and I think that I might of actually made it worse. Would it be possible to forecefully remove screen without damaging home button? Any help would be much appreciated
We run into this some times when we are working on phones. In some cases, you can just pull the screen off without any problem. Other times pushing down on the screen near the bottom can put enough pressure on the screws to help them come out. Either way, as long as you are careful about where you pry the screen up, the home button is attached to the screen and will come up with it. Just make sure you know what direction you need to open the screen so you don’t damage any of the ribbon cables that are connected to the screen.
Ifixit it has a guide how to get out stripped screw. And check on YouTube.
