How much does it cost to replace a back lit light in the iMac?
@cynthiahawley there is no set price for a backlight repair. Unlikely that you are using an iMac that uses CCFL but it is possible. Either CCFL or LED backlights are a specialized repairs and will most likely not be economically feasible. You could try and repair those yourself but you may have difficulties obtaining the parts. You do have to make sure that it is truly your backlight that has failed and not your backlight driver or backlight circuitry. The real importance on this is that the actual iMac number is less important than the number on the display panel. Even within the same series of iMac, the display may be different. So, if anything let us know what your display panel label has on it.
