Hi there. I got this headset but i broke the connector and need to replace it, i have seen lots of tutorials and videos of how to, i already repaired with another 3.5mm plug with 4 poles But then i wonder, if i use and extended cable of 3.5mm 4 poles and if i cut around the half it should work with extra cable isnt it? Well not as i expect it, to begin with it had only 4 wires (just as the headset, but) it’s just 4 I mean it doesn’t have the ground twisted with the microphone wire I just seen some new colors Blue, red, green and cooper. I tested and it brings the following Tip blue Ring green Ring red Sleeve cooper I decided to do as I have done in the past for the 3.5mm plug Tip green Ring red Ring ground with the microphone ground too Sleeve microphone After that I isolated every pair of soldered wires so they will not touch each other At the beginning of woked for me, but in a game group everyone says it sounds so much noise, I didn’t hear a thing but after checking with the hearing device option in Windows audio settings, yes there’s a lot of noise Ok I did everything again with more patience and tested the grounds and microphone, maybe this cable /plug it had mixed this two Nope, it doesn’t work switching calls from position 3 to 4 (ring to sleeve) but if I put in the previous position it works but with a lot of noise. Maybe it doesn’t have to be together the grounds, so I just soldered the microphone to the sleeve cable and the microphone ground to the 2nd ring It worked, now I soldered the left and right audios…. But it sounds weird, like no bass and it sounds bad, besides that where to solder the audios ground? Could anybody help me, I surely can do this with a new 3.5mm plug, but why it cannot be done like this? I appreciate any advice
