Chosen Solution
I have a Macbook Pro SSD model MZ-JPU512T/0A6 that has been damaged, an inductor is missing. Is there a schematic somewhere identifying what inductor this is? Does anyone know if there are components available to buy, so that I can repair the SSD? Like Louis Rossman does. But it seems he pulls components from other devices, more severely damaged
This is what it should look like https://1373646023.rsc.cdn77.org/images/… https://forum.hddguru.com/download/file….
Sorry to say Samsung does not offer schematics or board drawings of its SSD’s so without having another SSD to pull off the part to even measure it, I don’t know of any way to know what it was. The best solution is to get a junker to steal the part from or just replace the SSD. Maybe a great time to get a larger drive. You might try contacting Samsung as well if you really need to salvage the data. Or, contact Drive Savers to see if they can save it and the data. Just keep in mind this would be more expensive than just getting a new drive.
