Hi, My LG TV from 2018 - model OLED55B7T - over about 4 hours went from normal function, to displaying a fully black screen for a few seconds, and now is completely black. TV is on, I can hear sound, but nothing at all is displayed on screen, no matter what buttons/menu’s I try and enter. Question is, has anyone repaired a TV from a similar state back to working condition or am I wasting my time to even try? Technicians are expensive here (Australia) for them just to even turn up and assess. TIA.
Hi @stu78 Do you have a DMM (digital multimeter) and know how to use it? If so here’s the No video/normal audio troubleshooting flowchart from the service manual for the TV. Follow the flowchart to determine whether the problem is in the screen, the screen power board, the main power board or the mainboard. FYI: power board (module) is the board that controls the screen - i.e. module=screen, sheet A1 is on p.39 and sheet A9 is on p.52
