Chosen Solution
Hello After changing channel, the picture on my LG 49UH620V television started doing this flicker. I tried reseting the software to factory settings, then tried leaving it unplugged over night, and still no fix. The issue is here on this video https://youtu.be/EgCOYMZMqXg Any suggestions on a fix? I found this fixing guide in which the guy had the same problem (from about 11 minutes, still image at 13:33). https://youtu.be/RWD0U1N2lqQ Does anyone have any suggestions? I’m really unfamiliar with most of the components of this TV so I’m not really sure where to draw the parallels. I’ve attached some pictures of my TV below. Thanks
@Steven Thomas Edit: Your T-Con board seems not to be inegrated into your display pane(unlike the TV in the video). I would first try buying a new T-Con board. If this doesn’t work, it might be worth it to try the solution beloe So you’ll need to fool around a little bit to get the TV working. Basically what you’ll need to do is put masking tape over some of the pins in one of the cables. Attached is the image from the YouTube video which shows which pins you’ll need to mask off. You will either have to do this on the left or right cable, it depends on what is happening in your TV.
The cables I’m referring to are the 2 flat flex cables coming out of the board in your 3rd picture.
The reason this happens is a faulty T-Con board, but in this TV, the T-Con board is integrated into the panel, so you would normally need to buy a new panel/TV. However, by blocking the signals that are confusing the T-Con, you can fix the problem.
