My combi fridge-freezer had a flickering light in the fridge so I replaced the bulb only for the flicker to remain, after “jiggling” the door switch to see if it was the cause of the flickering that seemed to be the case. I pulled out the switch and unplugged the connections - with the power off obviously - and then opened and inspected the switch while searching online for a replacement. No replacement needed as my multimeter showed that the switch contents and all connections were fine. I closed and reconnected the switch and turned the power on but did not place the switch back in it’s enclosure and, as I suspected, the flickering happens at the slightest touch of the switch or the two cables attached to it. So my current assumption is a semi-loose connection at the other end of one of the cables but my only access to them is via the 1"x 1" tiny hole the switch goes in. So now I need to remove the righthand side exterior panel and I don’t want to attempt that until I know if it’s as simple as removing the screws at the rear of the appliance and having the panel open out like a car door, or if it will require removing the roof and doors first to free up the panel. Advice from a fridge fixer would be ideal!
