Hello, I have the above mentioned iMac in my school computer lab. It fell off the desk and the glass broke. I have read the tutorials and I see how to remove the LCD from the computer but I’m not sure about the process of separating the glass from the LCD. Is it possible? I have found replacement glass online so I imagine that I can just replace that part. Any direction would be great. Thanks!
AFAIK there is no “glass” on this iMac - the display is one solid piece. This model has a 27" LED-backlit 16:9 widescreen TFT active matrix display with IPS technology and a native resolution of 2560x1440. Apple also reports that the “cover glass is fully laminated to the LCD and an anti-reflective coating is applied” . Previous Aluminum iMac models have the LCD covered by glass. If this answer is acceptable please remember to return and mark it.
Did you get it resolved, I have the same issue?
