Ok, here’s a weird one. I’ve just switched to the laptop in question from 2015 13” rMBP and noticed that when looking at the screen from certain angles there is a red tint visible especially while a darker picture is being displayed. To be more precise - if I turn the laptop so that the screen is almost (85 degrees) perpendicular to my eyesight there is a red hue clearly visible to me BUT only while looking at 45 degrees from both upper screen corners perspective. I am 100% sure that this is something that did not occur on the previous device (and this display is supposed to be superior to it) and yes, all of the True Tone/Night Shift things are disabled. Before I go for a warranty claim I’d like to ask if there is anybody who might have noticed anything similar on their >=2016 MBP devices? EDIT: I have added one pic. Yes, I am aware that I have a screen protector but this is not the reason of this distortion. Background displayed on the screen is pitch black when looking while sitting straight in front of the device.
EDIT#2: Posting more pictures which I was able to make on cloudy day.
@lukestarkiller - I think you are just seeing a reflection here. The coatings on the glass which are designed to reduce reflections can alter the color of the reflected light. Try this, place your system and your self so you see the issue. Now without moving your system power it off or if you have it setup slide the mouse pointer into the active corner which puts the screen into sleep mode. Now step back to the exact same place do you still see the it?
