My sister’s iphone got in a boot loop the other day. I tried hooking it up to itunes and then updating the software in the hope that it would fix the problem. However in the middle of the loading bar on the iphone screen itunes would come up with an error saying “an unknown error occured the iphone could not be updated”. I tried it several times. Now a week later it doesn’t even want to update now it goes straight to the reset option. Unfortunately, my sister forgot to back up this iphone. She has over 2000 photos on this iphone from a very memorable trip and it would be a real loss if she lost the pictures. Is there any way to recover these pictures?
This is a common problem from what I have read. It sounds like it was close to capacity on memory and it caused an error when you updated it. It’s a software issue and from what I read it probably unlikely that you will be able to get the pictures off the phone. My best recommendation is call iPad rehab ipadrehab.com and ask them if there is a possibility of getting the pictures.
Are you use the latest version of iTunes? The post is similar to your situation, maybe you can refer to. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/518…
