So, i recently replaced a digitizer not from ifixit. and it worked for a few seconds but stopped working completley after a few good seconds home button was not working too. i opened up the mini again and inspected it. No issuses whatsoever and put it back on. digitizer and home button is not working at all. should i sell it for parts?
Did you have the same issue before replacing the digitizer? I suspect that replacement digitizer is defective, try another known working digitizer to confirm. If issue persists, then you need someone with micro-soldering experience to fix as this is board related. One thing I want to point out that the Mini/Mini 2 replacement digitizers are notorious for ghost touching (iPad activates itself erratically), make sure you cover the bottom strip near home button with Kapton or any ESD tape.
Sins you didn’t buy it from ifixit i am assuming the quality was bad and thats why this happend. Do you still have the old screnn if you do try to see if it turns on. Is it recognized by iTunes?
