I recently replaced y iPhone 5s battery with a battery from ifixit.com. It seems to be working well but this evening it has taken so far 4 hours to go from a 0% charge to 86%. Is this considered slow? It seems pretty slow to me but I’m not sure. Would it just help to open the phone up again and clean it with 92%+ alcohol as I’ve read in other questions and answers? Also, if I do that, what exactly can I clean with the alcohol? Just about anything? Or only the port/cable contacts?
It takes around 2 hours to charge with a known good charger and charging cable. And the only place you need to use isopropyl alcohol for charging issues is the charging port itself, but first clean out the charging port using tweezers carefully without touching the 8 pins in the charging port. What I do is use a flashlight and clean the charging port carefully. Then I put isopropyl alcohol onto a charging cable where the plug is without the cable being plugged into a charger and plug it into the phone multiple times cleaning the pins on the charging port.
