My iPhone 11 got severely water damaged to the point where it wouldn’t turn on at all. I fixed the board with isopropyl alcohol but it still has some issues. The biggest one being it restarts every 3 minutes because it can’t find sensor “prs0”. The Taptic Engine also isn’t working and when I play any audio or record and audio the app I’m using locks up but iOS doesn’t. I replaced the charge port flex cable and it still has the exact same problems. The charging port itself works fine on both the old and new port. Could this be a problem with the logic board or did I get a bad flex cable?
Could be either, but given the number of issues and the history of water damage, I wold wager this is a board issue. Especially if the same symptoms are occurring with the old charge port and the new one. Vibration, sound and the PRS0 (pressure) sensor all communicate through the charge port flex cable so it would definitely make sense that all these issue are tied together. Where in your phone was the liquid present when you opened it? Did you see any signs of liquid or corrosion when you opened the phone? I would give the board side connector for the charge port assembly a good inspection as well, check and see if everything there looks proper and free from damage. Peel up all the foam stickers if you haven’t already since they can hide damage.
